http://astore.amazon.com/gifofdaw-20/detail/147758434X Writing is hard work I am a dreamer and an adventurer with a kind soul. I am also a pug. My humans are Snowbirds and travel around the Country, in an RV. These are my stories and adventures as I travel about all the wonderful places and people I have met. My anthology of animal stories told though my eyes, Frank ThePug. Frank is a member of a Snowbirding
family and enjoys life on the open road.
Catching a Rainbow Frank woke to the sound of raindrops falling against the window in Lyla’s room. He had chosen Lyla’s room last night to sleep because she was so small and he would have more room to stretch out on her bed. A pug needs room to rest and a bed is better slept in sideways. Also, Lyla was 3 years old and easily moved around after she was asleep.
Frank knew it was his job to protect Lyla and he enjoyed his little human. He got up and walked over to the bed. He stretched out next to her on the bed and fell fast asleep. Frank was startled when a big splash of water hit his face. “Where am I” he said out loud. He looked around in wonder at what he saw. He and Lyla were in a forest with large plants all around them. The ground under his feet was wet from the splash he had received in his face. He shook his body to get the water off. It felt so good he had to run figure eights to celebrate the feeling. “Yahoo” he said “I feel good, good, good.” When Darkness Fell The night TieTie went blind was a normal night in every way. We all got up on the bed the same only TieTie was not feeling herself. I woke to her falling of the bed. She cried out in fear, I cannot
see! Mom came in hearing her cries for help! It was too early to call our Vet his office did not open until 8 AM, so mom sat with her in her lap calming her and I sat next to her my head on her leg. Then she took her outside and walked with her I by her side. TieTie was afraid and moaned softly crying out sometime in fear. Mom took her to see her Vet and they did all kinds of test on her but could find no reason for her blindness and her eyes were tuning whitish, not a good sign. What to Wear “Frank what can we wear tonight?” Lyla asked her dearest friend, me, I am Frank the Pug. She continued on to say “We need to get costumes to wear out Trick-or-Treating. Warm ones, at that. Mom says it’s snowing outside, and we cannot go out unless we find warm costumes.”
I looked over at the window and all I could see was white, how odd. I walked over to the window, to get a better view but all I could see outside was white. Everywhere I looked was white. Off in the distance I heard my name being called, “Gotta go Lyla” I barked as I ran out to see who needed me. It was my dad calling me. It was time to go outside. Dad was at the back door all dressed in a coat, hat and boots. He was holding in his hand a strange shovel. Out the door, I ran right into the white stuff. It was cold but fluffy. If I jumped I would sink up to my back. The chill felt terrific. I pushed though the white stuff leaving a trail as I went. I heard Dad laughing at me then I saw Louie’ running in the white stuff too. The path he was leaving was bigger than mine. (He liked food a lot, his other name was Double Wide.) He seemed to enjoy the white as much as I did. Zoo Boo Affair Today I got to wear a costume to school and mom said she had a surprise for me after if I was a good boy, I am the Captain of a Pirate ship. I always try to be good but others do not understand me all the time, but today I am Captain so if they don’t I will make them walk the plank, Cole thought to
himself as he rode to school on the school bus. |
